It turns out that Afghanistan’s South and East continue to be violent places where the number of militants (enemy) and civilians either killed in action (KIA) or wounded in action (WIA) are much larger than the rest. Again, these are the parts of Afghanistan inhabited by the Pushtuns, who constitute the overwhelming majority of the Taliban resistance in Afghanistan.
